What types of classes is Celtx used for?

Celtx is used in classrooms teaching screenwriting, filmmaking, game design, playwriting, and media studies. Whether you're teaching one section or multiple, Celtx adapts to your course and curriculum.

Can I use Celtx Education for more than one class or instructor?

Yes. You can manage multiple classes in one studio, and multiple instructors can each have their own Education studio account.

Can students access Celtx on any device?

Yes. Celtx is cloud-based and works on laptops, desktops, or tablets — in class or at home. No downloads required. Students can log in from any device and pick up right where they left off.

What tools are included in Celtx Education?

Your students get access to all Celtx creative features: screenwriting, beat sheets, storyboarding, production breakdowns, scheduling, and more. Educators also have studio management tools, including activity tracking, seat reassignment, and group creation.

How does collaboration work?

Students can co-write in real time, leave feedback, and share projects within groups. Educators can log in to student projects, monitor activity, and leave direct feedback.

Can I organize students into groups?

Yes. You can create project groups for each class or team, making it easy to assign and manage collaborative work.

How do I pay for Celtx Education?

Celtx Education is billed annually. You can pay by invoice, ACH wire, or credit card. We do not accept checks.

Can I recycle seats for new students?

Yes. You can remove a student and assign their seat to someone new at any time.

What if I need more than 700 seats?

Contact us to discuss a large-seat plan tailored to your school or district.
